Following a four month search, the Board of Directors is happy to announce that Dr. Susan Neustrom will be taking the helm as the next Executive Director of JUST effective September 20. Dr. Neustrom has had extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, both as a staff person and as a board member, and we are looking forward to what she will bring to JUST.
Dr. Neustrom recently completed a doctorate in education in Organizational Leadership at Argosy University, and her dissertation was entitled “The Dyadic Relationship between an Executive Director and Board Chair during Turbulent Times.” She also has an MA in Organizational Leadership from Lewis University and a BS in Management from National Louis University. Before pursuing her educational goals, Dr. Neustrom worked for many years in the banking industry. She has served on the boards of the American Cancer Society and Family Shelter Service and has been involved in fundraising initiatives for many other local nonprofits.
Dr. Neustrom will be coming to lead JUST into the next phase following the departure of Annie Rose. Annie and her husband Joel are expecting their first child this fall, and she will be leaving her position to become a stay-at-home mom. We are confident that Dr. Neustrom will be a capable and inspiring leader for JUST, bringing a wonderful mix of interpersonal skills and leadership gifts. Please join us in welcoming her!
JUST Receives Grant from DuPage Community Foundation

In June, JUST was very pleased to receive a $7,500 grant from the DuPage Community Foundation. This grant will fund the development of a new database to house our programming records, making it much easier for us to evaluate our services.
The grant was awarded at a special breakfast held on June 15 at the Glen Oak Country Club in Glen Ellyn. Pictured here are JUST Board Vice President Ruth Bamford, Executive Director Annie Rose, and DuPage Community Foundation Trustee Marilyn Gaston.
The DuPage Community Foundation seeks to raise the quality of life throughout DuPage County by fostering philanthropy, connecting donors to area needs and building community partnerships. JUST greatly appreciates the support of the DuPage Community Foundation.
