About Us

Since 1986, JUST of DuPage has been the social service agency meeting the needs of men and women incarcerated at the DuPage County Jail. We are a registered 501(c)(3) that is funded by a combination of private and corporate donations and government grants. All of our office space is located within the Jail.

On any given day, there are approximately 800 people incarcerated in the DuPage County Jail, and they range in age from 17 to 90. Many of the inmates are awaiting their court dates and are ineligible for or unable to post bond. Others are serving their short sentences at the Jail.  

Operating exclusively within DuPage County Jail, JUST serves a variety of people. Females comprise roughly 10% of the population. We serve all races and nationalities. We provide services in Spanish and English and are often called upon to meet the needs of other language groups as well.  

JUST of DuPage does not discriminate against or deny services to anyone residing at the DuPage County Jail; our services are available to anyone who submits a written request for them. We encourage residents at the Jail to participate in all of our programs and classes.
